The management team at BBQ Holdings ensures that all franchisees have the tools they need to not only operate successfully, but to truly embody the values and enthusiasm we share for the Barrio Queen lifestyle.
Initial Training
Our franchise owners start off with a full orientation of Barrio Queen with the BBQ Holdings corporate team via zoom and in-person training. Then it’s on to the 10-day training at our flagship location in Tempe, AZ to go over every aspect of the operations process with our very own experts:
- Julio Mata – Executive Chef
- Magaly Cacheiro – Operations Training Director
- Matthew Harden – Area Director and Head of Beverage Program
- Julian Magennis – Training General Manager
You’ll be learning firsthand what makes the Barrio Queen model so effective, and what you will need in order to run your own successful business.
Pre-opening Support
During the excitement leading up to your grand opening, you’ll also have 280 hours of in-store training and 75 hours of classroom training. This is including weekly online training meetings. We’ll be there to help you through any issues that might arise during the preparation of your unique Barrio Queen location.
Ongoing Training and Support
Once your Barrio Queen is officially open, you’ll receive two weeks of in-store training from our team of experts once again, covering each aspect of operations so that your staff is all on the same page.
In addition, every Barrio Queen location receives training on preparation and selling points whenever we add new items to the menu, including limited time offers and seasonal dishes.
Beyond that, the management team is always available to answer any questions you might have and can offer additional support as needed. Being part of the Barrio Queen family means you will never be in business by yourself. We all work together to bring the best possible experience to our customers.
