The Barrio Queen experience starts from the moment you pull up outside of the restaurant. The outer walls showcase beautiful, eye-catching murals hand painted by local artists. As soon as you enter, not only will you see our dazzling retail space loaded with cool shirts, you will be greeted by our friendly staff, who are ready to show you to your table so you can taste what real Mexican cuisine is all about.
The star of the show is our fantastic menu. Curated by award-winning Executive Chef Julio Mata, he wanted to bring in flavors and dishes from all 32 states in Mexico in order to showcase what a rich, diverse heritage there is to discover. We keep the menu fresh with new dishes on a regular basis. Barrio Queen also boasts an expansive list of tequilas, mezcals, sotols, and bacanora to further delight our customers’ taste buds.
And it’s not only our loyal customers that love our authentic Mexican cuisine: Food Network showcased Barrio Queen’s super fresh tableside guacamole on Best Thing I Ever Ate. We’ve also been featured in the New York Times, USA Today, Esquire magazine, and our menu was expertly crafted by James Beard award-winning Executive Chef, Julio Mata.

Established in Arizona, Barrio Queen has quickly become a highlight of every neighborhood we’ve expanded into. Right now is a great time to invest: there are many places throughout the US that don’t yet know about authentic Mexican food, and being the first in a given community can make a powerful impact. There are some who have tried to imitate us, but with our proven business model and strong brand identity, only Barrio Queen is able to create such an unforgettable experience that brings our customers back again and again.
